Something different!
Here's a little sport you can use your Ram pick-up for.
Add an extra fuel tank to an R/C plane. Put on some goggles and some warm clothes with gloves. Climb in the back of the pick up and fly the R/C plane from one flying club to another while driving in view of the plane from the pickup. We just did this today. Drove a total of 237 kms from from club to two others.
WHAT A HOOT!!!!
It was the beginning of our first annual CROSS COUNTRY CLUB FLY.
All authorized by the local police departments.

PIT STOP!!!!
We ran outta fuel after 48 minutes of flight. Went DEADSTICK and landed full flaps in a bean field next to the road. We refuelled and headed out again. 11 teams of three each. 7 teams made both legs of the trip. 3 crashed along the way and one had too many radio frequency interference problems.

I've been flying R/C for a while now and this was my first CROSS COUNTRY CLUB FLY and it was a BLAST.
Here's a pic of my 1/5 scale R/C plane replica I'm building of a full size flown by Julie Clark. This was a pic of me and her in London at the airshow. Notice the hand built pilot she's holding.

We had a world championship scale show that we put on in Tillsonburg Ontario in 2002. We had 26 countries compete and after one country crashed on a preliminary flight, 3 other countries including Canada donated wood and parts and glue and anything the other team needed to fly again for the competition.
I've never been to any DTR events yet but I can see that persona and friendship here on DTR from the pictures of other events and chattting with the guys here on the forums.
It's friendships based on common interests.
