some truck drivers don't think
Our driver went to pick up a 4,000 hp electric motor for repair, it was said to wiegh 21,500 which overloads our 20,000 lb trailer anyhow but when he got there the weight was 34,700 lb and he loaded it up. out truck is a 6.0 P/S with 245,000 mi auto and he said it pulled it fine but stoping was a different story.

i know how that trying to stop goes from hauling the dozers and backhoe for my boss. we try to keep the dozer on the big truck but some times we have to haul with our personal trucks from place to place.. good brakes pay off on the truck and trailer!

pretty soon they'll blow thru an intersection fully locked up gettin pushed by that dozer and then end up replacing that crumpled pile of sheetmetal and tiny cummins with a peterbilt or KW. LoL

There is no excuse or rationalizing an over loaded under capable vehicle.
I'm not the weight police. I am a person that has seen the carnage a bad decision can cause.

its not really a big dozer D3 compared to our D9. we would not dare move that but with the 18 wheeler.. and we only move the D3 dozer with the personal trucks if its county roads to the next place. We could not get away with going on a mane high way. i dont think i could really stop it safely if i went over 50mph and if i had no trailer bakes. well i dont know it would be bad! ... give or take it may be 18,000 lbs. i bet some one will fined and post it on here lol!!!!!

i have seen more carnage by cars and empty trucks then loaded vehicles i move dozers up to an 850 case and jd 550. when i'm hauling them i drive way more careful then a soccer mom or 98% of the people who drive pick ups. the theory i use is that all drivers are idiots and want to hit me. but i know all the weight police guys here know a lot more and have seen it all. i run the main highways and deal with the dot and have had no issues.
