Some help please?

Hi,

I have been lurking here for some time now and really appreciate all the advice that has been given out here. I have really learned about the vehicle that I now drive.

I am in the process of installing some gauges now. I got the boost gauge installed today. I am using the 3 gauge dash pod and they look sweet there.

Now to my little problem. For reasons of my own, I am going to put in a post-turbo EGT gauge. I tried to drop the elbow just behind the turbo, but I could not get the clamp off. The bottom clamp fell right off and slid down the exhaust pipe. Great. But I couldn't get the other clamp to come off. It came loose and I could spin it around, but I couldn't get it to come off so I could remove that elbow.

Any advice or hints or tips would be greatly appreciated.

On that clamp, you really need to take the nut all the way off and pull the two ends as far apart as possible. It will come off.

Thanks for the reply.

We did have the nut off and was trying to pull it apart with our hands. Not enough strength maybe?

Will try again soon.

Again, thanks.

I had to use a screw driver and pry it off. Man handle it!
