SOme first upgrades.

Well I just got my 04 dodge. The pickup already has a few things done to it. It has un upgraded ats exuast manifold and afe intake and an upgraded exuast system from the downpipe back its a 4 inch In not sure witch brand at this time. Im fore sure going to get an upgraded clutch. Im also wanting to get a beter aftercooler and intake manifold. I have not decided on a pusher pump to go with yet. I am wanting to start with a smarty with a pod for now. I am also looking at mild injectors and trying to find a good turbo at the moment too. Yall tell me what yall think about what im puting together I welcome the feedback.

Save your money on the intercooler. The factory one will be fine with what your wanting to do with your truck it seems. Your gonna need an upgraded lift pump if you wanna run injectors. And you having a 6 speed a lot of turbos will work for you. But, it depends on what you wanna do with your truck. So let us know what your plans are and we can help you further.

intercooler not needed a lot of wasted money intake manifold get a 2nd gen if you want to keep the price down or build your own. there are a lot of tricks to making these trucks go without spending the big bucks as for the smarty you are definitly in the right zone there get it i love mine. if i were you i would upgrade your clutch then you can run a lot more power than the 90 hp that smarty recommends being the max with a 6 speed.

Well far as the aftercooler goes. I will eventualy get twins on this dodge. I wont go that far though until the engine needs a rebuild though. Since I have to take half of it apart anyhow to head stud it and all that. Far as the plans go for the truck it will be a tow rig and some sled pulling if I can find a good class to get into. Basicly Im trying to see if I can build me a competitve puller and still have some sreet maners to it. What are some of the beter lift pumps you guys are using? There are a few out there to choose from. I for sure want to keep those nasty EGTs in check.
