This is my 1 st dodge diesel ( or diesel of any brand ) 07 5.9. If I take the silencer out of the turbo . Will it affect performance ??... Just ordered Airaid #300-928 intake tube to replace the stock tube with the baffles

Can you explain how it will affect fuel mileage... Seems like it would get better air flow without the disc..does better air flow = more fuel ?? will adding the airaid tube also affect mileage ?

More pedal to the metal is what Rick was saying...more than likely you will notice no gain in power nor any loss, maybe a little more noise...

Glad to have somebody else in town here! I've asked these Alabama guys twice about getting together but no takers so far. The removal of the silencer ring won't change your power but it will let the turbo
whistle a good bit more. The more noise, the more you'll push the accelerator (to hear the noise), the less mileage you'll get.
