Some advice please...

I just picked up my first diesel truck, and am looking for some advice.
Since it is a 2wd, I'd like to go with the "street" look.....does anyone have wheel/tire combos they know that fit (possible pictures) in a 20 or 22 inch rim?

Also, I'm looking into the following mods....
1. EGT, TRANS, BOOST gauge kit
2. MBRP 4" turbo back exhaust
3. S&B intake
4. Dr. Performance Predator part #2013

I've heard that this performance module is placed in-line between the computer and the injectors, and is difficult or impossible to detect if removed for warranty issues. I also believe that this module doesn't have any provisions for defueling if EGT's get out of hand....hence the gauges.

I would appreciate anyones comments on what type of power I would see with the above mentioned mods, and whether the stock 48re is up to the task.

As you can see, my mods are relatively tame compared to most of the trucks on this site.......but we all gotta start somewhere.......lolol

You will be able to find all the answers to your q's, as well as answers to q's you didn't think of by searching the forums. It may take DAYS to search, but there is SO MUCH info on this forum. I have spent hours searching for info on one thing, but it's here. These guys have tried it all, done it all, just search.

The gauges are always a great start. I've had the S&B. That is a good system and will work well for you. Suposedly the chip will crank out the actual power listed so who knows. You will have a noticable difference in power and towing will be much better too. The modules do plug in easy and remove just as easy. But if dodge was to get involve it is likely they would be able to spot something. But for normal stuff you'll be fine. Just don't abuse the truck to often. The tranny will hold up fine and so might your warranty....

The Dr P is a great unit, but IMHO I would look at other options like the smarty or similar. But be advised than no matter what power addition you add, you will put your tranny at definate risk. If you ran a smarty on the lower settings and dont abuse your truck, the tranny should last for awhile. One nice thing about the Smarty is that after you get your tranny done, then you have much more to play with if needed, and with Marco's continuous research there is allways lots of new stuff too
