Sold the truck
I finally decided to sell my truck. I originally wanted a six speed, but went with the 48re due to a good deal. After 18 months of ownership I decided to sell it, save my money and when I get back from Iraq get a 3rd gen LWB six speed. I made out pretty well on it, bought for just shy of 33k and sold for just over 34k. Im driving the Jetta now. Wife already gave me the ok on modding it. Shooting for 250 whp.

I was not expecting anywhere near that. Especially since i sold it to the same people I bought it from. They didnt give me any kind of hassle either. I figured they were gonna take it in the bay and check it all over to see if I had ran any electronics on it. But they just drove it around the block and looked it over, then made me an offer. They offered me 33,900 at first but I showed perfect maintenance records and then pointed out the fact that I added a toolbox and tow mirrors and they added 500 to the offer. $34,400 was the final offer, almost 1500 more than i bought it for.

LOL, I had to eat my words at my buddy the dealer last week. His manager was complaining that their auction guy didn't pick up an 05 2500 4x4 quad cab with 36K miles on it for 28K.
I told him he was crazy, but looking now, the prices of used is often higher than you can buy new from a discount dealer for!
Crazy world......
