Question So I installed an AirDog 150 on my truck...

and now I have no place to connect my fuel pressure gauge. The gauge plumbing was connected to the top of the fuel filter housing, but now, since the filter housing isn't part of the fuel delivery system...

I was thinking about using one of these:

I figured that I could put this fitting between the AirDog VP44 adapter fitting and the 90 deg hose fitting. Seems like the easiest solution to me... Plus, I would be monitoring fuel pressure about as close to the VP as you can get.

What do you guys think? Anyone have a different/better idea? Anyone have a cheaper source than Summit for these fittings? Looks like it's about $20 shipped from Summit.

On a side note, I was really impressed with the AirDog kit. Real quality stuff. And kudos to the DTR store for getting it to me so quick. I ordered it really early Tuesday morning and it was on my doorstep Thursday.

I've said this a gazillion times, best if sender is not mounted on VP (engine vibrations) and you need a needle valve to cut the pulses from the vp from damaging the sender.

Vulcan has a push lock fitting with a 1/8 NPT that cost about 8$. works well and you just have to cut the supply line about 8-12inches from the VP and then hook up your sender, mine is T'd in so I have 2 senders, one is a low pressure light the other is for my Edge J/A sender, each sender backs up the other...so if they both indicate low pressure, I will know I have low pressure. should only one indicate an issue I know its a failed sender

heres a better shot of the push lock fitting and the needle valve

also there is a plug on the airdog that can be removed and you can adapt your sender right at the pump.
plug is on the top near the back of the motor

Dang, I probably should have mentioned that my FP gauge is mechanical with an isolator...

I wouldn't lose any sleep if there was some pulsation in the gauge, as long as I had correct average fuel pressure. Which is what I'm most concerned about...

I saw the port in the AirDog. I've actually sent Lary a PM about getting a low pressure light kit, so I'd rather save that port for that.

Thanks Nick!

Just get the 90 degree fitting from Vulcan or Pureflow that has the 1/8 NPT female port. I just put this fitting in place of the supplied 90 right out from VP and ran a stainless line from the fitting to my isolator which I mounted up near the firewall. It works great.
