I signed up for what I thought was a biodeisel forum but as it turns out it's mostly a Bush Bashing free for all. See link below
http://sustainablelists.org/pipermail/biofuel_sustainablelists.org/2005-September/thread.html#3961
After signing up I recieved a multitude of emails that did nothing but trash our great president, his administration and anyone who agrees with ANY of his policies.
I simply replied to one of these mentioning the fact that I signed up for this list with the intent of learning to make my own bio-diesel and asked if these political rants were a normal occurrance. Well my email was was immediately removed and with no explaination I was banned from the site. I emailed the list administrator asking why and he told me that I broke the rules and that was it!
His email addy is here. listadmin@journeytoforever.org
It's quite disturbing that they allow people to use obcenities when referring to our president (obcenities are supposedly banned) but you're not allowed to question the use of this site as a political forum instead of a bio-fuel forum.

Journey to forever, hmmm. Enough said. They to need to take a journey alright.

You don't need a site like that. Check out this:

I think you will find that most of the forward thinking people who are inclined to use sustainable alternative fuels don't agree with the present administration's energy policies. You will also find this to be the case at biodiesel.infopop if you read the Environment forum.
Cussing the admin out serves no purpose though.

I never sign up for mailing lists, kind of for that reason. No rants in my mailbox, please. I just hit the web sites where I feel like the people are knowledgable, and willing to help. I don't participate in political BS, and avoid it when I encounter it. The people, all of us, spoke in 2000, and 2004. Nuf said.
The infopop people have been very helpful to me, and I'd recommend that site to anyone. Just stay out of the polictics, and don't tell anyone what yours are, unless you desire arguments. Yes, they may be wrong, and probably shouldn't bash the President, but that's what makes the U.S. great, the fact that you can say what you want, even thought some of us don't agree with you.

Well I don't believe that telling lies about the president and his policies is forward thinking which is what these folks were doing. I didn't even try to argue with them I just ask if these kind of politcal rants were common place and I got dumped.
I didn't cuss the admin but he does allow his fellow lefties to use vulgar language in their posts as long as it's against anyone who doesn't tow the party line. The rules clearly state that this is not allowed. Of course when I brought this to his attention those posts disappeared and he essentially called me a liar.
I don't have a problem with people having a different view than me but lieing to prove their point gets my goat.
Not trying to start an arguement here but I remember several Bush speeches proposing alternative fuels as well as increased oil production at home.
My point in this thread was to expose these folks for what they are.
A little discussion on Bio-Fuel and a lot of Hate mongering.

Well I don't know either way but I wouldn't doubt it for a minute.
