I really don't see the point of smoke the switch. I sometimes see ppl driving down the road pourin the black smoke and when it comes down to the moment of truth...they just don't have it.(hp/tq)

Very true, OP just build up your truck w/ the proper mods and learn how to operate it and your right foot can be your smoke s/w. You won't smoke much w an 03 and an Edge w stock injectors.

Michael, basically, you run a resistor with a switch to a few wires on the map sensor. It fools the computer into thinking the truck is at full boost, and provides full fueling.
Here is a thread showing how it's done.

As far as the injectors and lift pump... ? I would not worry about it on mine, however, on a stock truck, I don't know. I doubt it, unless you have it on all the time.

I wouldnt see it being any harder on the injectors and LP than mashing the throttle. It is just fooling the computer into thinking it is at full boost. So the fueling system responds just as it would with the skinny pedal mashed to the floor.
