smarty updates for mileage/towing/less smoke

Does anyone know when the updates are going to be available? The Jr is supposed to be out the second week in Sept. I heard. From what I read the Jr will have the updates in it. Any info appreciated, would like to use my smarty but just to much smoke towing.

I don't know when the updates will be available, rumor has it (thats all I have -- rumor) that it will be sometime in October when Marco gets here. In the meantime, if you are concerned about smoking problem while towing, have you tried aftermarket injector, mild or stock torque management program? That worked for me.

Ditto on this setting. I sooted the entire side of my travel trailer and at one point thought I was having some injector problems. Things just didn't add up, so I loaded the aftermarket injector, stock turbo. Cleaned up the exhaust; no power reduction; lower EGT's. Wish I would of figured that out about 800 miles back!!! I've washed the trailer twice so far on this trip.

Running the aftermarket injector program will not have any bad effects on anything??
I may try this as well. I run mine on SW#3 with Mild Torque Management and the smoke can get pretty bad. Some guys love it but I don't enjoy the smoke. My wife likes it way more then I do.
She likes smoking out jerk drivers when she takes my truck...hehe.

I may have to try that then as well. I'm just worried wrecking ****. Not sure what makes the aftermarket injector program any different is all.

The aftermarket injector program assumes that injection will be heavier at low rpms so it cuts down the amount at low rpms. I use it and it works great. Mild torque and 60HP W/ timing.
