If you have the REVO and not the TNT, try SW#3,TM#2,TIMING#4,RP#2,WASTEGATE OFF. So far this is the best for me. 688.5 miles on 1 tank of fuel.

I can't even imagine numbers like that. I got 18 MPH last tank and thought I did well...[duhhh]

I have the Smarty S06 -- but what is the REVO? Am I missing something here?[duhhh]

Let me note I never went over 65 mph. Took a trip from Baltimore to Buckcannon, WV. Drove on I-70 west to I-68 west to I-79 south which has there share of little mountains on it. I'm sure you know where I-68 and I-79 are, not that far from you shineboy2.

Yeah, just went the MADS site and saw it. I will have to install it and play a little. Without a modified tranny I can't go too far anyway, but maybe I can squeak a little more MPGs out of the beast...

Does lower RP and TQ help with milage?
When using 4.11 on sw3 I picked up a 1/2 mpg while towing over stock and a 1 mpg over Quad XZT on level 3.
With revo on sw3 or 5 I have too much smoke. Marco said fuel quality was the problem with the jr smoking. So the question is if one drops the timing back from 4 to 2 to reduce smoke will you lose milage.
It you sure be nice if someone could give us some direction.

i tried the sw3 timing 4 and mine smoked like crazy could it be because i have bigger turbo?

the tq man, is what makes the throttle more touchy, lower tq man will give less smoke, and make the instant fueling almost go away. so mileage should improve from that.
the higher timing you can run, the better the economy will be, less of the generated heat will go out the exhaust valves, and your cylinder pressure will be higher, giving you more power per amount of fuel burned.

As far as RP, it seems that some get better and some get worse with fuel mileage. I'm still experimenting, but so far I get better fuel mileage with added RP. With TM I'm also still experimenting, but so far the lower the better. It seems like TM#2 gives better fuel mileage then TM#3. But, I'm not towing anything either.

With towing 16,000# 5th wheel, found TM-2, timing on 2, and RP-1 being a good setting. The EGT are under 1000*, in fact I am over the mountain before they peak over 1000*. A little smoke, learned to try to lite peddle until the boost is above 10psi on start out. after 10psi, peddle goes down

I lowered Torque management to default and you are right less smoke.

am i hurting anything running timing 3 w/ stock sticks? i know mads site says that timing 3 is for huge injectors but the truck seem to run pretty good on that setting.

I am also trying various settings with the TNT Revo attempting best MPG.
Currently trying Level-1 Timing-3 TM-4 RP-4
I like the quick throttle response.. Once you learn to drive with light foot it takes very little throttle to get the truck moving. The Timing on 2 was very smokey on my truck. I think it is from the larger turbo. The higher TM and RP I think helps spool the turbo a little quicker and only has a small puff of smoke when driving cautiously..
I have been getting low 18's last 2 tanks.. with level-3 Timing-3 TM-3 RP-3
I have only had level-1 TM-4 RP-4 for a 1/4 tank but looks to be doing better than previous. As long as I can keep my foot out of the pedal.
I will run this for a tank and then try lowering TM to 2 and leaving the RP at 4.
It is great having the adjustments to work with each truck for best results.
Thanks to Marco and Bob..... Great Product!!

how does your rail pressure look on rp 4? mine would run dangerously high on rp3, i havent even tried rp4 yet.

smoke19d,
No rail guage yet installed...
I had been running the Beta 4.4 for quite some time prior to the TNT Revo being released. I believe the beta 4.4 had very agressive rail pressure also.
What are you running for filters for your fuel? I really believe the low micron filters have helped my injectors over the miles.. 96k When I go to check valves at around 100k I would love to do cam, springs and injectors (F1 1.8) if I can come up with the $$. I would liek to do them at different times to break up the cash spent but it makes som much sense to do when it will be apart anyway..
This is the 1st time that the truck has felt similar to the Beta 4.4 I had been running. With the rail pressure up my truck is not smoking like it had been. I almost want to try Timing 2 again with RP-4 to see if it helped the smoke I saw on that setting.
Might try..
Level-1 Tq-2 Timing-2 RP-4 for my drive to work and back tomorrow..

i only have the stock filter, that's why i took the rp down to 2. i was hoping to get on a dyno soon and i would like to run rp3 or rp4 but not at the expense of a blown injector. on rp3 i was cruising at 20,000 and that was too high for my liking

That would make me real nervous running that much rail pressure all the time. Especially with the warnings from Marco on his site about it. You may be suprised when you do get a rail gauge to see how high it is running. Especially at cruising speed with a little throttle, it would probably be over 20,000 easily. Tac

It is just less timing than default timing. May not be best overall for mileage or power. It shouldn't hurt at all I wouldn't think. Maybe someone else in the know with chime in. Tac

Not to hijack, but could you use the same levels on a Smarty S-04 to get the best fuel mileage?

Well folks, I tried some new settings and got some less than desirable results. I used the settings of SW#3,TM#2,TIMING#4,RP#2,WASTEGATE OFF and turned a whopping 15 MPG calculated by hand. I drove a 1235 mile round trip from San Antonio to El Paso. Now I know that speed can make a difference, and a good portion of the trip was made with the cruise set at 85 mph (I know, you may say 'Slow down and it will help' but have you ever driven that stretch of I-10???).
Has anyone seen any other settings that may increase my odds of better fuel economy?

I know it's hard to do in the 80 MPH zone after Odessa, but when i set the cruise at 1800 RPM I get about 24 MPG when I go between El Paso and Austin.

You're fine running that. That setting actually reduces timing some as larger injectors effectively advance timing.
I'm not running the REVO software but am running stock TM and the aftermarket injectors tune on SW1 with stock injectors. I figure I'm sorta splitting the difference between stock timing and stock injectors tune set on SW1. By that I mean my timing is more advanced than stock but less than it would be if I were running the stock injectors tune. It does pretty good, I hand calculate over 20mpg regularly.
Mine is all for smoke control and it does a good job of it. Stock TM is far from stock but not as touchy as mild or above.

I'm getting pretty good economy with the current setting. Level 5, TM 1, Timing 4, RP 1 and Wastegate Off.

I guess I need to slow it down. I was running at about 2200 to 2300 RPM most of the way. Timing was important though, so maybe next time I can keep it under control.

16-17mpg for around town. Haven't done much highway driving lately.

Not too bad, seeing as I was getting 15 on the highway!
BTW - I used to live in Tomball and my son was born there. I lived in Rosehill if you know the area.
