SMARTY Revo #9 vs. TNT #1

Ok, Which one fuels harder or taxes the CP3; seeking more fuel? I know TNT #1 is supposed to only be 100hp+/-, but we all know they've been a little off before. I'm trying to rule out/eliminate anything and everything on my truck as to why the TNT programs just don't work. In my opinion the Revo #9 w/ RP on 3 or 4 fuels much harder, but I can't get any of the TNT or TNT(R) programs to function properly on my 03. Is there anything in the TNT tunes that would cause it to drain the rail where no other Smarty program would, including 4.2, 4.3, 4.4. 4.11, 4.10........(all these stack w/ X2 pressure). As I've said many times nothing from TNT#1, stock RP, stock TM all the way to the Wild #9 RP 3 or 4, none of these allow my transmission to shift properly and it almost acts as if it's running out of fuel, but my gauges don't show it. Keep in mind STOCK INJECTORS

What about boost, which one do you feel is a stronger tune?

TNT-R fuels harder than the beta 4.x s/ws and can drain rail pressure. With reduced rail pressure you loose hp. I could make good hp with tnt-r by running a lower settings but I have now gone to a differant pump with more flow. I couldn't run anything over level #3 with out draining my rail and that's with a stage I pump.

I ran the TNT (Non R) at the track on 7 with moderate TM and RP at 3 on a modified CP3 with 50hp injectors. No rail drain, but it did flash the converter to 4k on the 2-3 shift. Shifted fine elsewhere. Don't know if that is the tune or the Trans Lockup controller I am using from BD.

Well let me share my TNT story. When I had 50's and the stock pump with the arson kit, I coundn't run anything higher than the TNT SW3, if I did lots of popping. I went to the Revo SW9 and could run it all day long. I have since added the 90's and a stage 2 pump. The RP is good and holding strong. I am going to load the TNT this week and see if i can run SW7 or SW9, but I am alittle scared to do this since my truck is running really strong with the Revo SW9, TQ3, RP3, TIM3. I am very curious to see the difference and hope I can run TNT at least on SW7. I may have to wait until the next dyno day at LCD to try and see the difference, Erik, what do you think, will I beable to run the TNT? Sorry I missed you guys in Sac on Saturday. I will be at the dyno day.

hard to tell, man. It works pretty well in my truck with the exception of this shifting issue. I gotta do some testing to see if I can figure out my deal. Should be able to tune it out.

Well from what I have been reading, the TNT really hates the 03. maybe Bob will chime in and gives us some feedback.

I am running the TNT/r with great results on my 04. The only issue I got from it was the 1-2 and 2-3 shuttle shifting at low throttle input. I never had that with any of the other tunes and I have run them all at one time or another. Other than that I love the tune.

I've learned my lesson on thinking boost and power go hand in hand. With TST stacked I'd see 5psi more boost, but made less hp on the dyno, all while maintaining similar rail pressures.

I think revo 9 with the timing and rp all the way up probably make better overall power than sw1 on the TNT. FWIW, boost was the same with both programs.

That's how I feel w/ mine, although off the line the 4.2/4.3 betas feel stronger, but on the top end the Revo pulls just as hard maybe a little harder. The TNT#1 & 3 feel very laggy(no power throughout RPMs in comparison to the Revo #9 and I can't imagine the TNT fueling as hard as the wound out Revo settings. I'm just trying to diagnose my own problems since I'm not hearing ANYTHING from Bob and Marco on the 03 issues. I do have some bad transmission shifting issues w/ both the TNT and the Revo, but I can run the Revo and drive around the shifting problems. The 1-2-1 and 2-3-2 under light throttle is terrible on the TNT and TNTR, not to mention the WOT downshifting is not a possibility w/ TNTs on my truck, I have to back off the throttle for the downshift to occur. I really wish I had an 05 at times like these, it'd be so much easier to make power and I really feel that the tuner/box manufacturers aim to please the 04.5+ crowd as they are the mass.

I wonder what the possibilities are for getting Marco to build a Revo-R tune, a Revo software that will rev to 4000 rpm??? Am I the only one that would want this tune? Bob/Marco is this even possible? I ask because I will always stack pressure w/ my Smarty for the "on the fly" effect and I believe the Revo is better for stacking in my application. This would be a good tune for those of us who don't have extreme mods but still want the RPM range to 4000 IMO.

I have the same issues when I eun the TNT. As for the shift 1-2-or 2-3-2 problem. I installed the BD VB and that fixed the shifting issues, even with the TNT. On the other hand my 03 did have downshifting issues with the TNT but not with the Revo. I may try the TNT again now I have the newer cp3 but I an worried to since I had some many problems with it, and I have had no help from Bob or Marco. I dynoed 560 with just the Revo on sw 9 with smaller sticks and arson cp3, if I can run the TNT on sw 7 or 9 I wonder what I would get then.
