Smarty Question

I bought a smarty off of a member here on dtr. It had never been updated so I installed it in my truck and I didn't think it had any power at all I put it on sw9. Before I bought the smarty I had the edge juice and predator stack together. Every body said the smarty was great so I sold the predator and unhook the edge. After installing the smarty the first time I set it back to stock and brought it in and installed the new revo update. I went out downloaded it on several different tunes and it is better but on every tune it seams like I great throttle response but after the first quarter throttle I don't have any power gain after that. It is like it is at full throttle at a quarter throttle. Any body have any idea what it could be?

I have the same exact problem with mine. Mine came with 4.10 and i loved that tune. I change to REVO and hated it. Went to 4.2 beta, gained some top end, then now to 4.11 Wild and it's mediocre. I don't know what I need to do to get my power back!

Sounds like loss of rail pressure.

A modded CP3, our trucks are terrible when stock. You need to try Revo SW7(not 9 or 5) TM3 or 4, RP Default, get w/ me after you try this. Is your turbo stock? If so, thats also an issue.

I know you can't go back when you load 4.11 or newer. Shame as when Marco first released 4.10 I lost my shift indicator lights on the column (auto) and the truck down right hauled torque. It got rid of all the torque management and would of burnt my trans up in no time. Thankful he found the error and corrected it with the 4.11 update. By the way guys, I hate to heck things but my smarty thru all the updates and releases ( since 4.08 ) on my 03 stock trans and motor is still keeping everything running. No injector issues, tranny issues, etc. Just wondering how everyone is making out long term test wise. Granted I don't beat on it or run above level 3. Did have her on level 5 for a while but kept the tq at stock level 1 with revo. The Fass with the filters surely have kept my injectors better off than stock filtering along with not exceeding stock rail pressure (smarty). Anyway long term is what I am all about .........so lets here it for the internet myth that you bump up the power and pay the piper! if you really want to test your tranny or clutch just change the torque management option on revo to 3 or 4 and then report back! Less defueling between shifts will as the original Smarty said challenge auto and clutch......CATCHER

I have never had an issue going back and forth with any of the tunes new enough that allow speed limiter removal.

My turbo is stock. Do you think if I do the diy mod to the cp3 that would help any or do I need to get a mp8?

I can go back. I have both the new and old drivers.

Yes, tcr, i'd like the 4.10 back.

Also...my lift pump bit the dust tonight. Maybe an aftermarket will help out with my lack of power.
