Smarty--need help!!!!!!!

Got the smarty yesterday and stared playing with different settings. Here is the deal , no matter what number I'm on the smoke is terrible and with my superchip set on performance it will easily walk all over the smarty on #7. I want to be able to run the smarty with the same or better performance than the sc. Smarty has the best customer service by far from what I've seen so I hope someone can help me with the right software so I can sell my sc. Truck has stock turbo/injectors. The smarty came with mild tq mgmt and shows version 2.07

Well haven't been stock in long time, but controlling the smoke does take some practice. I think there is a newer version for stock turbo/injectors on the site now. You might want to download the latest version and try it. The latest version that I upgraded to did help minimize the smoke some.

Did you try level 3 or level 5? If you have a stock trans and / or stock fuel pump, you could be slipping the tc or running out of fuel.....

Upgrade to the latest version stk inj, stk turbo, moderate tq mgmt, and try level 3 first, then level 5....

yes, I tried 3,5, and 7 but it has mild torque mgmt. If I can ever figure out how to update the smarty I'll try it.

i am still on the road. take your time and read the instructions on the download page on http://madselectronics.com

make a new folder on your desktop and rename it smarty.

download the cdm2.oo.oo driver

smarty usb.exe

and the new software directly into the smarty folder

unzip the driver and software with the new http://7-zip.org software. when you go to the 7zip site you will be directed to a mirrored site for the download.

click the link "if the software does not automically install " click here to run.

take youre time and dont get frustrated so easy

Hey Bob , thanks for the reply. I think the problem is with my laptop. I'll keep trying. By the way which program do you recommend trying? I need to cut down on the smoke.

i would say aftermarket injector/stock turbo with mild tq.

I posted the link to moderate but its overkill for a stock auto.

Ok, I'll try it. I finally got it to work. It's writing now. This right here is exactly why I wanted a smarty--customer service is excellent. Now I just need to find the tune that meets or exceeds the sc on perf. without smoking out 3 city blocks

Torque Beast. Let me know when you figure it out because I feel the exact same way about the Smarty compared to the Superchips. It isn't easy to even break the tires loose on #7. Superchips will light them up on tow mode. I can't wait till Superchips comes out with the Extreme Mode and stack it with the Firefly.
