Smarty level 1????

I am looking into purchasing the smarty for my 06 ram, I am not looking to purchase a new trans right now, just want a little extra mileage. If I was to run it on level 1 the 30 hp setting, would I gain some mileage with out thrashing my tranny? Also I pull a trailer once or twice a week, the trailer weighs 5k lbs, I would reset it back to stock every time I pulled the trailer, does it hurt the truck or the smarty to reset it constantly? Thanks.

IMO, you could leave it on L1 and tow all you want. I get the best milage on L7, but w/ L7 you could tear up a tranny if your not careful.

I agree. Run level 3 and drive with some amount of sanity, and you'll be absolutly fine.

are you planning to stack it with any module that increases the timing? if just gonna run the smarty, run the odd numbered programs unless you hear timing rattle, then change to the next lower number(even)

my truck is totally stock with the exception of the Smarty and the 305s. I do not plan to run any other module.

Hopefully it arrives tomorrow!

no gauges? i have seen 1400* when towing with my stock turbo and no fuel mods. i would not run it without a pyro at the minimum. you will need a trans temp too if you are going to tow.
TQ Man, not too much, better safe than sorry. stock would be better then.
do that trans, then go wild.

Well, the load is light enough, you will probably be just fine... but......... my experience forces me to say gauges before power young man.
