Here is the problem i know you can use the smarty over on different trucks but first you must set the current truck back to stock before installing on a different truck. My problem is I had a 2007 5.9l with the smarty jr installed and i fell asleep and hit a truck going about 60 mph and totaled the truck. I got a new truck well 2005 with the 5.9l in it but my smarty is vin locked and i cant do nothing. Is there any way possible to clean the vin from the smarty.

I have called mad electronics and they told me to send the smarty and the old cmu from the old truck to them and they could do it but i cant get to the old truck its long gone and they said it would cost $200 to do it. Now they told me on the phone it cant be done.

There has to be a way its only electronics and someone out there can hack into it. Any help

Not going to happen. Even if someone on this site was smart enough to, they wouldn't because it's wrong, imoral, and likly illegal. And I'm pretty sure the program is now in the truck, not in the box, so unlocking the vin would just give you a code reader, no program in it to download to the truck.

Smarty, or Mads, has been forced into a situation of not unlocking programmers for people because they have been screwed too many times. I don't blame them one bit. Not saying your story is bogus, but they've heard it all, and putting things in black and white is the only solution. If you don't have your old ECM, or whatever they call it now, to prove you actually had the program, your out of luck. Sorry.
