i have an 05 cummins is the smarty jr good for use on any 03 to 06 5.9 motor . what about buying an older one without revo or pod can it be updated if so how is it done thanks

I have a Jr. with the original software and have gone back and forth from my 03 to my buddy's 05 quite a few times without any problems. Check MADS website for updating instructions.

yes it can be updated, just go to the site and follow the instructions, how do you think 99% of the people have the revo and pod, the downloaded it. You don't have to send it anywhere.

ok and would you all feel pretty safe buying a used jr. . there really isnt anything that could be messed up correct??

Make sure it is not vin locked to the previous truck. Previous truck would have to be returned to stock to unlock.

#SMARTY# on the display equals vin locked. Just make sure the seller has a good reputation
