I found a decent deal on a Smarty JR which has been upgraded to POD here in Canada. Do i need anything else to compliment it right away ? I plan on a CAI most likely a S&B and a Glacier 392 kit if i can find one, LOL. I have gauges already. Thanks

No it is made for a stock truck. If it is used be sure it is not VIN locked.

I'm not quite sure how the VIN locking thing works. I assume if he has it setup for say tune #1 it is locked. If it reverts back to stock is it still VIN locked ? Need a quick answer ! Thanks

The screen on your Smarty should read [Present SW: Stock] after you have plugged it in and hit the up arrow for [ECM Update] and then the up arrow for [Connect Truck]. If this is the case you should be good to go. If you get the error message VIN# Locked then the unit you picked up has not been restored to stock on the previous owners vehicle. Good luck.

I talked to the guy and yes it will be put back to stock. So all should be good. Thanks
