Smarty jr. gauges?

Smarty jr. gauges?
I am interested in getting a smarty jr. Do I need gauges? My truck is the 6spd g56 I think? And if I do need gauges, I was looking at the issopro 3 gauge kit with pyro, boost, and fuel pressure gauges. But do I really need them with just the smarty and a afe stage 2 intake?

I have EGT, Boost and Fuel Pressure.
What should it read, well, mine used to read about 9-11 lbs at idle. Now it is reading as low as 4-5 sometimes on the highway. Not sure what happened there....?
IMO, pressure is just that, a measure of resistance against something. Am I happy to see my numbers dipping into the red? No. Is it something I consider like absolutely urgent? No.
Should I be considering an after market kit to replace or push along my stock in the tank LP, YES.

I understand. Kind of weird that it changed like that? Does it just change when you turn your smarty up? I wouldn't think with the smarty jr even on the highest setting you would not be getting enough fuel, right? The stock system should give you plenty enough fuel to support the smarty jr even on the highest setting, correct?

Yeah, as far as I know you (we) should be fine on the stock system. I run on 9 permanently, so I'm fairly sure that I am requesting more fuel than the stock pump is designed.
The good news is that there are more companies out there selling systems than you can shake a stick at. A decent set up runs between $300-400 or so (non- FASS).

Out of all the products I have tried (alot of them) that claims you do not need guages the Smarty Jr. is the only one that holds true. The others claimed to lower EGT's but real world results showed I should have guages. The Smarty Jr. is the only product I have found that truely lowers EGT's and I wouldn't be afraid to run without guages.
Now my advice, GET GUAGES!!!

A very nice gauge setup is the SRT "A" pillar with a boost/egt combo gauge. About $300 for both. Keeps the grap bar and very unintrusive. Westach makes the gauge in black or white face. Both available from Geno's.
