Smarty JR create more boost??

I installed my Smarty JR about 2 weeks ago, and it doesn't seem to increase boost from stock.

Is it supposed to? I have a MSD Dashhawk with the boost displayed and it only goes to about 23 lbs boost.......same as stock.

Maybe the gauge reading maxes out at 23????

Just looking for some suggestions.

You are probably making 35-40 psi, the Dash-hawk is inaccurate with programmers/modules.

It happened quickly, but with Stock SW loaded, my new Westach boost gage hit 28psi briefly before dropping back to just above 20. This was powering up a hill in 4WD in fifth and just before I shifted to 6th. Seemed like the boost dropped off just before I got off the pedal. Wastegate? Pyro is mounted near cyl #3 like in the Geno's installation guide. That peaked at a nick under 1100 on one of the longer hills. So now I know I've been hitting those temps ever since day one. Wonder what summer will bring?

Smarty SW #1 back in again.

It depends which Dashhawk parameter I use also......if I use the actual boost created, it reads 23. If I use a different boost parameter, it will go to 38, but that includes the environmental pressure reading of 15.

38 sounds more like it, I say just get some mechanical gauges and then you know what you are making. Those things try to get too fancy and shell out a bunch of numbers that you dont need.

Get mechanical guages....a stock 06 will make 30-32psi max boost....with a smarty or boost fooler or....it will make 35-45psi max boost......23psi is either an issue with your truck or an issue with the dashawk
