Smarty or Hot Juice

Just wanted a few opinions from guys who have used both. I already have the juice and am thinking about having it upgraded to the hot version but I also have save up a little cash and the smarty sounds really tempting from all the posts I have read. Without considering the difference in cost how much of a difference would I notice between the two? I have thought about this for way to long so I just want somebody to make up my mind for me!

Do you want more top end power like your Juice already does or do you want more low end?

I have tried both, currently using the Smarty.
With the Edge Hot I was pleased with the performance, it is user friendly, the juice attitude comes with a montior which is nice. On the performance side I liked the smooth power throughout the RPM range, minimal smoke. Did dyno with the hot and was a little disappointed with the results.

So far the Smarty has been fun, the excitment of a new enhancer has not worn off. One thing for sure is the Smarty is capable of producing lots of power. Initially I can say the Smarty is really strong out of the hole, much more then the HOT. Features like different versions to suit each driver/mods is awsome. The Smarty in my eyes has a lot of functions that take the guess work out of tuning. And being able to up-date as often as you want is the cats meow...........I will be dynoing next week and believe the results will be good.

I don't think you can go wrong with either. The reason I switched was fellow Smarty users at a dyno event saying the Smarty will make you more power!

We will see soon...

973604x4, I am looking for more low end, particularly on settings that I would use for daily driving not just on high HP settings. The Juice seems to lack low end on all settings.

I also like the fact that I can potentially make more power with the Smarty when my truck gets the mods to handle it like the Con OFE that I have my eye on.

I've used both....Hot Juice and Smarty.

Hot Juice really shines on the top end, very smooth and predictable...after 174* ofcourse. the hot juice is rated at 180hp on our 05's......

the Smarty is lots of low end and lots of smoke....but was a little lacking in top end in my application. The new smarty hot or whatever they are going to call it may be the ticket for you, though. the current smarty software is 170hp...but the hot is supposed to be in excess of 200hp.

try a smarty then....i know a buddy of mine that had a smarty on his 05 g56 and he LOVED it. he needed to watch the road a little more though...cause he was having too much fun watching it smoke

Smarty by far!! I had the Hot Juice which is nice if you aren't going to go all out. The Smarty is tunable for your likings and the HOT Smarty is ver impressive.

Smarty it is then! I will probably hang on to the hot juice for a little while, possibly to stack it. Thanks for helping me spend some money guys!

Stacking the Smarty and Juice won't work. It's been done before. If you want to stack your Juice get a Diablo Predator. It seems to work well with the Juice.

Here's a question: I have the Edge Juice stacked with the Diablo Sport Power Puck...going to get the Edge Hot upgrade soon since they seem to play well with each other. Now, what if a Smarty was thrown into the whole equation? Would I have too much of something, such as timing, duration, pressure? I know that I will need my tranny, of course, which is why what I am talking about isn't in the near future...but how do you think a truck with the three stacked would do with a billet tranny, modded CP3, 100hp sticks and a bigger turbo?

Just so th truth is known the Diablo Preadator claims to be undectable to the dealer but the key counts and trip data get erased when the truck is returned to stock.

anyone with a smarty can show that fact. do your homework if you are buying on that aspect

im going to quote rip frome source auto on this one...." sure if you want the race box youl love it, makes plenty of power and is fun to drive, but just dont ever test drive a smarty, cause all other programes will leave you disapointed afterwards."

ie: if you never try a smarty, you would probably be hapy with the juice. alot of people are. but if you realy want to test drive the smarty, you might as well just buy it. and as fare as upcoming software for the smarty! ive nick named it the viagra version...

I have ran both. The HOT Juice/Attitude and EZ stacked on mine was the most trouble free, smooth and consistent stack I have ran. Never threw a code and never had a problem. EGTs with my mods were never a problem. Ran consistent 13.8s and dyno'd a little over 480rwhp.

I just wanted more, so now I run Smarty, TST and EZ stack. Not as trouble free, but more power for sure. Just depends on what you want and how much you want to spend on supporting mods.

Either is a good option depending on what you want in the long run. And as far as warranty goes, just don't expect to have one if you do either and then you won't be upset if something bad happens. Just my .02.

I'm not telling him to use the Juice or Diablo over the Smarty by all means. I'm just saying if he wants to stack the Smarty with the Juice it won't work. Speaking of which, is Marco devoloping a software to be compatible with the Edge? When I get the money (it's pretty tight right now) I'd like to get the Smarty right off the bat. I'd rather stack it with the Juice instead of the TST. The Juice isn't quite as wild as the TST, but I'd bet it would be awesome with the Smarty.

i tell you what.. id much rather have a well tuned fuel map than some guys attempt to fool the computer into doing some thing it wasnt programed for.

in my mind a plug in box, ie: quad, juice, etc is just a bandaid. its a cheep short cut like steriods. it'll never compair to the real thing.
