Have you downloaded programs to your smarty off of the computer you are trying to use?

You need the smartyUSBL for the operating system you have. Either Smarty USB.exe or SmartyUSBL.exe

And you need the driver for your operating system. Either CDM_2.00.00.zip or D30104.zip

Depending on your operating system they might automatically load and install when you hook up the smarty or you might need to load them manually. You might want a folder called Smarty and inside it one called Driver and one for each program you want. Otherwise you might end up with stuff where you don't want it.

Never hook it to the usb and obd at the same time.

Get what you need and expand it in the folders you created and hook it up and if it does not walk you through then post back and some one will help.
