Smarty Defueling???
I hope this makes sense... Does anyone know if all the smarty levels continue to fuel past 2700 rpm. My Smarty does not allow my TST R46 remote to defuel. The TST will try to defuel but the smarty software(#5-#9) will continue to fuel. I've only always ran the Smarty software(#5-#9) and noticed the increasing egt's... Does level 1-3 have defueling?

Not sure when the Smarty or the TST defuel on RPM's. My Hp curve almost flat lined from 2400 until 3000 RPM, but I got out of it at about there so I don't know what is beyond 3000 RPM.
The TST is designed to defuel at a EGT set point by the remote (also boost if you have that model remote). Make sure you have that set correctly. The Smarty will never defuel on EGT or boost on any level (maybe SW1 for boost, not sure).
The TST defuels by two methods in sequence:
The first method that it does is to just cut back on the fuel it "itself" is adding. That makes sense.
The next method is done by utilizing boost fooling. The TST either sends a slightly over boost or under boost condition (I can't remember which) to the ECM. At which point the ECM defuels by doing what it would just normally do under those conditions.
When a Smarty SW gets loaded, the ECM doesn't really care about the actual boost levels any more. It only pays attention to what the Smarty is telling it. So in the case of the TST + Smarty, the boost fooling (second method) defueling feature no longer works.
If your EGT's still go up when the TST remote starts flashing, it is the Smarty pushing them. In which case consider yourself overfueled.
Well done!

Holy moly Jim, that's quite the explanation!!! Sounds like the Smartyis overiding the TST's remote capabilities. I know the TST will defuel when I don't have the Smarty loaded in but I was wondering when the no-defueling kicks in and on which level of software?
