Question Smarty Code Questions

Hey guys, I need some help interpreting some codes I got off of my 01 Cummins using my Smarty Programmer. The other night, I'm on my way home from work when my truck began lose RMP despite my foot being in the throttle, then, within seconds(foot still on the throttle) it caught, and took off. It continued to do this the entire way home, beating me to death. I figured it was a throttle position sensor, as I have had this problem with a previous Mustang of mine. THe "Check Engine" light came on and here are the codes I got:

P0123 - Throttle Position Sensor Voltage High

P1488 - Auxillary 5 volt Supply Voltage too Low

P1693 - DTC Detected in companion w/ JTEC Module (I have been told that this code is a result of stacking a Power Edge Box and the Smarty???)

Anyway, there they are. I checked on the price of this TPS and was told it was a dealer only item, my local Dodge dealer wants $572, says you can only buy this with the entire throttle assembly. Does anyone know if there is a way to reset the voltage on these things, a place to buy the sensor by itself, or a cheaper place to get the entire thing????? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1693 is just a companion code it can show for lots of reasons. you can try and reset the apps by unhooking the batteries for 30 min then with key OFF re hook batteries and turn key on then slowly depress and slowly raise throttle pedal 2x see if it will reset.
If the APPS unit is bad I have seen some on Ebay.

for the other codes I would realy look over the wire connections and maybe clean and use dielectric if corrosion is present

If your aux. 5V supply is actually too low this may be because one of the 5V sensor supplies is grounded somewhere. This can lead to all kinds of strange behavior, including strange throttle commands getting to the ECM.

I second the notion about the wire connections- but would do this while the batteries are disconnected for the APPS reset.

Thanks alot guys, I will try that. How do I know weather or not the APPS reset itself?? And if the low voltage code is not fixed, can it cause other problems with computer and etc? Thanks again.
