small towing twins?

I know there is a company that makes a small twin setup utilizing the stock turbo maybe with an upgraded exhaust side? Whatever it be I was wondering what the smallest amount of fuel is that you guys with a small twin setup have ran and still had good daily driveability. I will be going from here- (soon) flux 1's, and a mild cam (new springs probably a little heavier), boost fooler, walbro pusher pump. I was wondering if I could just run maybe a pressure box to turn the turbos. Also what other benefits have you all gotten besides low egt's and power? Any boost in fuel mileage or at least not a drop in fuel mileage? I'm really thinking about doing this in the near future, or when I get enough money set aside, I'll be doing all of the work too.

You should be able run a small set with those *** 1s and a pressure box. I would recommend something like the Quad xzt that does a little pressure and a little timing. It's a very nice inexpensive box. But Nathan at MPI would be the one to answer your question.

Yep, Nathan @ MPI is the man for twins.

I'm not sure you can use the smaller stock '03 turbo in a twins setup though. I'm sure you can, but not sure how long it will last since it's quite a bit smaller than the later '04.5+ turbos. Nathan would know for sure.

I've run my MPI stocker/S400 twins with all stock fueling (stock programming and stock injectors) and, while they weren't exactly quick to spool, I could drive it around like that just fine. The stocker/S400 setup does great with stock programming and the Flux 2's (100hp) though. I wouldn't worry about being underfueled with that setup.

Seems like I've seen quite a few stock turbos for sale in classifieds, $200 or $300. I don't remember if they are the HY9, but I bet they are out there.
I remember a stock turbo (assuming 4.5+) over a GT42, it was for towing had 2 wastegates, good for 550 hp or a little more (can't remember exactly).
X2 for Nathan at MPI, beautiful work, packaged great, complete package. Can't go wrong with Nathan!
You can PM him here at Idaho CTD, he checks messages every few days.
