Question Slow to start hot or cold

My truck has been slow to start whether it is warm or cold. Not terrible but noticeable. When I first noticed the problem I changed the fuel filter and it fixed the problem for about a week. It started the same thing again gradually. I changed the fuel filter again and it fixed it for a day or two and has gradually went back to the same problem. When I put the second filter in it wasn't spotless but it didn't look too bad. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

well i'm just guessing since you need to fill in your truck info but i would think injectors are leaking the pressure off back to the tank

if the injectors are bad then can I continue driving without further damage to anything else. I only need a few more weeks until I trade in. Got 125k miles its time.

One further note about the filter, I pumped some fuel out of a transfer tank from work that we use for our equipment and that same week we had to change the filter in a brand new excavator and there was a sludge in its water separator.

thats it?! man, that thing is just getting started! I dont know for sure about still using it, I do know that it took me almost 2 months to get it sorted out when my injectors failed, and I was driving it everyday. everything seems fine on mine.
