what size tire?

toyo open country m/t 285/75/17(34") on a xd series spy or toyo open country m/t 275/70/18(33") on a xd series spy. the 17x8" spys have 5.5" of backspace, the 18x8.5" spys have only 4.5" of backspace. I just installed my carli 3" lift w/ solid steel steering stabilizer so I know they'll both fit,I just dont want the tires sticking out far from the wheel wells. Help me out, what do you think?

My vote? Neither tire. With three inches of lift, either tire is going to look way too small. You need a 35 or 37 under that thing. I just got some toyo 285/75/18s(35X11) for mine and that's with no lift. I've been running 315/70/17(35X12.5) and they look really good on stock suspension. With a three inch lift, those tires you mentioned are going to give the truck the same look as stock - which is way too much wheel well space.

Are you doing an MT again, or an AT?

Im running a 4" lift with 35"Toyo m/t on 18x10's with 4.5" back spacing. They are sticking out 3/4" beyond my flares. I wanted to give you an idea what this wheel package looks like!
