what size rims?

I think some of you guys run 16x8 rims with 315/75R16 tires but it seems to me that 16x10's would be better. They are slightly more expensive and more styles are offered in 16x8. So is it actually ok to run 16x8 rims with the 315 tires. Money is very tight and I dont wont the tires to wear rapidly do to a wrong size rim or looking stupid either. Thanks for any advise guys

To any of you all that read my post about a failed KDP, well it was official, the KDP came out and had cracked the case. Turns out the previous owner sold the truck to me and lied about it. Told me it was just a front main leak but under further examination I found the cracked case to be "fixed" with jb weld. So I took it to get the case replaced and that cost me an arm and a leg. Nearly 2K large. That hurts, especially being in college and a 10 hour a week job. So I had to get a loan to pay for it and I still need tires and wheels. I am in Frankfort, KY and know that Eddie lives here too but I cant find a cheap place to get tires, think I can get rims off ebay for the best prices even after shipping. So if anyone including you Eddie, know where to go to get tires in the 315 for a good price please let me know.

Thanks in advance

Well, wish you woulda posted this a few weeks ealier. www.4wheelparts.com had a sale on all procomp tires, buy 3, get the 4th free, and free shipping. I paid $870 for all 4 of my pro comp 315 muds, which included the $90 "no qustions asked warrenty". They usually have this deal every few months.

Tire manufacturers normally post on their websites what size rims their tires can be mounted on. For example, Dunlop says approved rim widths for their Mud Rover in 315/75-16 are 8.5-10 inches.
