What size Injectors do I need???

I will be getting new Sticks very soon and there are a LOT of options. I dont plan on changing my turbo anytime soon but I know my tranny wont last more than 12-18 months, so I do plan on upgrading it. I currently have just the Superchip, BHAF and straight piped. I just ordered the Edge Juice w/additude that I will be stacking if it works. Since I will then have all the gauges I need I will get some sticks and go from there.

My question is... what size injectors should I get? If I go ahead and plan for the future and put stage 5 (150hp) in there will that be fine or do I need the Injectors to grow with the mods I install? I just dont want to get stage 2 now then 3, 4 & 5 later down the road. (if I dont have to) Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I also wanted to know if I will need another pusher pump to supply the IP that will in-turn supply the bigger sticks? I just replaced my LP 4000 miles ago. Sorry so long!

150s and a juice with your stock charger would be way to much . i would hold off on sticks till you get the bigger charger . but before that happens look at the tranny

I too would hold off on the sticks for now. The Juice will test your tranny. Hold off, when money allows get a nice SPS64 and some Mach 4's then you will be rolling the smoke and flying low! Too big of sticks too soon will cook things that are better off raw.

The little smaller Industrial Injection turbo. Heard very good things about them, they offer a 62mm, 64mm and the SPS66, a 66mm unit. Guys are making big power with them and the right set of sticks.

I agree, with that little HY35 will be very limiting

You will not be able to turn the Juice all the way up for any amount of time.

I would get a tranny(DTT, Goerand, Suncoast, whatever) first.

Then get either the PS or SPS 62/12 or 14 or SPS 64/14. Or the HTB2.

Then get yourself something in the 125-150 hp range injector.

Like the others have said, you are getting way ahead of yourself.

First is you will be astonished at the power the Juice will give you. I wanted 80HP sticks and a Phat shaft before I installed my Juice, not after I put it on.

Next is you will want a modified trans. You can REALLY feel the power hit hard when your converter locks in 3rd gear. A stock converter, or almost any other single disk, will shudder and not hold the power when it locks in 3rd. You will want a triple disk converter that is much tighter that is matched with a valve body that will provide enough line pressure and internal clutch pressure. With a built tranny, it accelerates faster through 1st and 2nd from the lower stall tighter stator, and hits warp drive when the triple disk locks in 3rd. The Juice will easily slip your stock converter and make it shudder like crazy, especially at lighter throttle. Ask me how I know... I have a built trans but I was stupid enough to think a single disk converter would be enough. It has a tighter stator and billet front cover, but just not enough clamping force. It's being swapped for the triple disk version next week.

Next would be your EGT's. They actually aren't that bad. I have a 5" MBRP exhaust system. I only hit 1,300* on the pyro at full throttle with the Juice on 4 or 5, at about 75-80mph. I am running a bone stock intake too and no J-hook. Between a good AFE intake and a J-hooked wastegate I would think that could drop EGT's a 100* or so, maybe more.

No reports on EGT's while in tow yet, I haven't needed to haul anything lately since I installed mine.

After you get your trans done, maybe then sticks could be an option along with a new turbo. I personally wouldn't go 150Hp though....

I like them a lot, they are in my dad's HO truck. They REALLY woke the truck up. EGT's aren't too bad, but I can hit 1300* if I want to. Lots of power for sure. They bumped his mileage up a little too.

There is a couple of Juice threads already going, I'd check them out. The install wasn't bad at all. I did it in about 2 hours and completely installed everything available in the kit. I did a write up on the install and what I thought of it and it should be up on the home page at www.towrig.com in the next day or two.

Ill toss in the hat for the Mach II's....i have nothing else and the truck RUNS GREAT! EGT's are VERY manageable....highest i have gotten with a load on a hill is 1,100-1150* Anything more and a clutch is needed.......though they do stack VERY well with a Smarty....well the parts that didnt slip!

Heck, EGT with Mach 4s is manageable, too.

You just have to do more managing, lol!

since you guys are on an injetor role, with my setup that i have in my sig, will 150hp injectors be to much. granted i have the ats 2000 which is comparable to a B-1 i was told, just wanted some imput.
