Just bought an 03 HO auto LWB 4x4 Laramie. Very nice truck.<br><br>I was just at the dealer and noticed that they have a Sirius radio receiver that connects to the stock radio. Just put the antenna on the roof (i.e. cut hole), mount the receiver box under the dash and hook it up.<br><br>Questions:<br>1) Has anyone done this? How has it worked?<br>2) Are there dealers out there the will sell parts at a little over cost rather then retail? I have. Most dealers will work with you on price if you ask them to. Make a friend in the wholesale parts deptartment. Learn and rember his name. The install requires an installation kit and reciever. Can't rember the exact cost but it was approx. $400 for both. The install was rather difficult, even for a former auto tech. The upside to factory reciever is the ability to use your steering wheel controls to operate the Sirius stream selector function.

I had the Sirius added by the dealer. The receiver that interfaces to the premium Laramie stereo mounts way up under the left side of the dash. You need to buy the receiver and the install kit combo. It took the dealer 3 hours to install. I watched the whole install and would highly recommend having the dealer do it. Cost for the kit is about 175 if I remember correctly and I didn't pay any install labor beacuse of some other problems I had with the dealer. Attached is a picture of the antenna installation. I drove 1500 miles and didn't mess with one CD - I love it!
