Have not had any trouble with my truck until today. I was changing stations on the SAT radio, pushed a preset and there was no sound on any station. Signal was good as I could see what song was playing but just could not hear it. The AM/FM and CD all work fine. Has anybody had this kind of trouble or does anyone know what it could be? Oh, and the kicker is this happened at 36,018 miles. So I guess it's out of warranty.

how many miles did the truck have on it when you took delivery?

Truck only had 10 miles on it.

Try pulling the fuse thats for the radio and see if that resets it. Mine has done the same thing and this fixed it.

A few things:

First thing, one year free! How long has it been activated? Some A-hole activated mine before I got it, truck had 320 miles on it so no telling how long it's been activated.

Second thing, I can't see who's playing on my screen?? How do I get this feature? I have the regular single disc head unit.

Yeah, can I hook my current sirius up through that. I live close enough to you to just come and buy it.

Where did you get it? Is the theftlock enabled? Not saying you stole it, but that may make it a PITA.

And how hard is it to install?

i bought it for my truck off Ebay, but i decided i am gonna go aftermarket.

very east to install once your get the dash bezel off.

i have no idea about the theftlock, but i assume it is off.

mine did the exact same thing after I bought it, and the dealer had to replace the radio.

Well it's back on. Started the truck yesterday and it had sound, guess it was a gremlin. Thanks,I'll remember that in case it happens again.
I have the six CD changer and it has a Info button. Tells you the name of the song and the artist.

mine did that once and it was Sirius pushing a update to the radio.

Call Sirius and establish your account...that way you can trouble shoot it with them............These Sirius radios are activated in Michigan...not by the dealers..I was lucky it was only activated three days before I got my truck.....Sirius can tell you when it was activated.....you need the 12 digit ID # from your radio.....Sirius will tell you how to get it.....I forgot
