Signed up for BD twins and a cooler

Looking forward to next week, truck is in the shop for some new goodies.
By May 11, should be set up. I have done a fair amount of homework on this combination and I believe I will be extremly happy with the performance for both street and towing.
Anyone on this forum sporting a set of twins from BD?

I use to. They are a rocking set of twins. Check out the first video in my signature......that was with a set of BD twins. They are definitely the loudest set of twins I have heard to date.

What twins do you have now and why did you change?

[QUOTE=AK RAM;1489680]I use to. They are a rocking set of twins. QUOTE]

That they are! Thanks AK!

Cools 550 HP no problem consistently with IC and cam.

Just got the primary turbo back from HTT today with new seals and oversized bearings. My oil consumption was out the turbine side.

Small set of twins, but spools fast and both turbos are almost always "on boost" right off idle. 1:1 boost:drive pressure up to ~55 psi. Did some quick measurements after opening the box and the primary has only ~67 mm compressor and ~75 mm exhaust - not much bigger than a Silver series II turbo IIRC.

I wonder how this set would run with a wastegate on the primary to bleed off drive pressure?

How do they compare to PDR towing twins? (hx35 and Ht3B)

I thought they just started offering the S4 as a primary in the last 8 months or so. I've got a buddy that had some and both were S3's. Just curious.

Cool man, I sure love my II twins so far (only installed for a couple weeks). Who is doing your install? There was a nice write up in one of the magazine on an install of the BD twins. I used it a bit when I installed my set, being that II didn't offer any instructions!

The BD twins are a set of s300's. The new 300/400 setup might be out. Last I talked with BD the still had more testing to do. I heard that for about 6 mths.

Yep I had a BD dealer call and beg for me to get a new set of their larger twins, heck I told them I would pay for them to beta test. No go they do all testing in house. I was told 6-7 months also but I was told that last year, and then told early 07 Im begining to loose patience and look for a custom set. Im just afraid Ill loose my rear on the deal. They also deal with ATS and called them. They mentioned a new big set of twins, something they may or may not be working on. But they may be too large for a Daily Driver. What to do what to do?

The clincher was twins for a little over 5k canadian installed by BD. I figured that was a pretty good price.......

Went to the BD twins for mulitple reasons, one of the keys was towing. I do a fair bit of holiday travelling throughout the summer. I'm surrounded by mountains, lakes, huge grades and tonnes on bikini's.LOL
Most of the fellow twin users have good things to say about all company's producing twins, for me BD's main location is 4hrs West.
