Is this the sign that the clock spring is going?

My horn only works when the steering wheel is turned towards the right. I posted a while back that my CC switches have no power going to them, therefore no cruise control. Is the horn thing pretty much saying that it truly is on its way out for good? These are a $150.00!

Yep. The next sign you get will be crunching noises accompanied by a binding steering wheel.

...Yep. And the NEXT sign you get will be even BIGGER crunching noises when the steering wheel does bind!! But seriously...hmmm, seriously is too difficult for me...but really(that's better...) I'd be gettin' to that right quick! I think steering is #2 on the list of what should work best on a truck(#1 is brakes of course).

My horn does not work but my cruise control still does. I guess it can be selective.

My clock spring was junk when I bought my truck.

I went to the Pull&Save yard and replaced it with one from a 1994(I think) Plymouth Sundance, it had all the same connections plus a wire for an airbag which I just cut off.
Grand total $5, it's been working perfectly for the past 3.5 years.

This is what I was looking for( thanks a plenty still to the rest of you, and Lane for the part numbers) because a clockspring from NAPA which is for the later years is $50.00, so now I know it will work.

I that the later year trucks or cars? I'd assume there is some variations of when what style stuff got introduced into what. (i.e. radios, clocksprings, etc. I know a radio from some 01 cars wont fit in the 01 pickups.)
