Side Mirrors, how do they come off??
I have to replace the passanger side mirror only, is there a special tool that does this?? I broke it trying to take it off in the first place. I have the old body style Ram. Thanks for any help.

I am assuming that you have the towing mirrors b/c your sig says tow package. According to Klengers method of swapping tow mirrors, http://www.klenger.net/dodge/2nd-gen...-mirrors.html, there are just 4 screws that hold it on, access is gained by taking the door panel off. I have not been able to find any other reference/pics though. Let me know what you find.

there is just the one screw by the mirror itself and one located inside the grab handle(actually maybe 2 in the grab handle) take those out and then slide a screw driver to pop the panel off...but dont go to dodge to get any new plastic grommets or whatever if you happen to break any off...they rape ya!! after the panel is off its pretty self explanitory...good luck! its an easy fix

There are no screws in the inside, just 10mm nuts, three of them. You might have to pull out a little piece of foam that they stuff in between the mirror and the door panel, but other than that, Midwest stated it best....The hard part is the interior trim panel, unplug if electric, remove the three nuts, save the top one for last.....replace.

actually i'm talking about ONLY replacing the mirror not the whole side mirror. I've takein' the whole unit off many times already. But thanks. I'm gonna try working on it this weekend....hopefully I won't break this one

I think the mirrors are held on with a silicone-adhesive type of material.
Maybe the fishing line slipped behind the glass (like removing the side badges) would work.
