Can I put a normally closed solenoid valve on the fuel line going to the injection pump? Then I could chunk my worthless shut down solenoid and plumb in an extra fuel line!

My idea was to attach a servo onto the manual shut off.

I thought about that also, maybe using a starter solenoid, but I haven't found a way to rig a momentary switch to my cool down timer...

I have used this for car audio actuators, push a button and it latches not a momentary here's the site www.selectproducts.com search "latching" $15.60 for the latching relay assembly, it will work. Woodford reserve is pretty strong... as it were, i am out.............

With a normally closed valve when you shut it down its going to starve the IP, it probably wont die instantly. When the fuel in the IP is used it will die. Problem I see is loss of lubrication when IP is starved.

No. The stock solenoid just stops fuel from going from the main case into the distributor head.
