What should I set my timing at?
Mods are:
4k gsk (w/hd vlve springs)
city diesel 370's,
city diesel laser cut dv's,
tst #10 plate,
tst afc med spring,
bhaf,
5" exhaust,
banks twin ram intake
banks turbo housing with big head wastegate (38 psi)
val air clutch.
head has never been touched, no studs etc.
What is a safe setting to set timing at? Will it help the top end? How much more hp should I expect?
Thanks

Even though it will rev past 4k now, I didn't notice any power increase past 3k. Just falls on its face past 3k and keeps revving to about 4200? Thats why I am hoping the timing will let me take advantage of new top end.

Timing will make your topend MUCH better, since you don't have studs or anything I would do 16*. Which truck in your sig is this also? If you add studs I would go a little higher. My truck will pull hard from 1800-3600rpm with the timing at 18*...

I dont know anything about that turbo, what does it compare to a HX40 or a modified 35? That 215 pump can put out more fuel than a small turbo can deal with without the 370s and DVs. That said if you slide the plate back to a level your comfortable with on your pyro I wouldn't go higher than 16 for timing. You have a incredible amount of fuel on hand, to put it in perspective I have the same pump with no DVs and if I slide my plate (100) full forward I can hit 1400degrees @ 70psi almost instantly. My injectors are a little hotter but no Dvs probably equals us out in the fuel delivery area so I would be very careful until you can cool the fuel, remember that excess heat equates to timing.
