Shift stick bounces a little too much

My stick bounces a little too much when driving down the road, I can put my hand and hold it still and I don't feel anything abnormal except standard vibration.

What causes the bounce ? Could it be unbalanced tires (if rearend shakes, will it shake transmission too) ?

Bad U joint

Mine was doing the gradual increase on the shake, Had the back u-joint locking up. Had it changed and went back to a purr.

its because of the u joints real bad on 6spd lwb. Do a search on weighted shifter ***** seem to work great alot people have them.
