Shift-linkage squeak fix

Everyone, the common squeak that everyone gets is what is called a shift-linkage squeak on an automatic.

THE CURE IS TO JUST FIND YOUR STEERING COLUMN FROM INSIDE YOUR ENGINE BAY. YOU WILL SEE A 1/2" ROD COMING OFF THE COLUMN GOING STRAIGHT DOWN TOO YOUR TRANNY. FOLLOW IT DOWN AND JUST SPRAY WITH WHITE LITHIUM GREASE THE JOINTS WHERE THE ROD HAS BREAKS, JOINTS OR BUSHING. GET UNDER YOUR TRUCK AND FIND IT UNDER THERE. IT WILL LOOK LIKE I IS ULTIMATELY GOING INTO YOUR TRANNY. OKAY, FOR THE CURE JUST SPRAY WITH WHITE LITHIUM GREASE THE JOINTS WHERE THE ROD HAS BREAKS, JOINTS OR BUSHING.

If anyone has pics of this procedure please post them.

This should be in a 101 section or FAQ section moderators, thanks
