Setting up and tuning Water injection.

Just wondering what the steps are for setting up and tuning a water injection system. I have heard it talked about on here a couple of times but not much.

Assume your asking about on your CTD?
I can only speak to the Stage II, Snow's Injection System.
-Turn left controller dial (Boost level for initiating injection) downward, test... downward, test.... till you experience combustion "quenching".
Will probably be around 15 psi. Lower with 50% Meth... higher with straight H2O.
-Set initial injection above that level....as close to it as you want.
-Set right controller dial for where you want max injection pressure... probably 30 psi on your single.
You can set right dial for as low as left dial, if you want full injection to come on all at once and kick you in the tail! Gradual ramping up on the psi/flow is probably better for the engine.

That covers tuning! When you say Set up, were you also asking about what's involved in installing?

I was wanting to know for a towing application. Good info, just need a little more. (Nozzle size, how many, etc.) Learning more here will help me make a decision for what size injectors to run later. I would only be using H20 and yes I am perty sure I was looking at the Snow's Stage II with 6 gal tank.

I run two 625 ml/min nozzles. Probably more than you need. I do recommend 2 nozzles. Smaller pump should be more than enough.
Do search...good towing setup info from Mike Holmen. Will see if I can find it.

I run two .380s starting at 17psi, all in at 25psi with a Coolingmist controller. Seems to work perfectly for all-around daily driving and occasional light towing.
