Serpentine Belt... When to replace?

I'm at 129,000 exactly tomorrow sometime during the day...

I can't see any cracks or anything...

The reason I ask is my buddy had his PSD throw the belt today, beating the crap out of his hood light, upper radiator hose and insulation...

How hard are they to change?

When should I look into replacing it?

I hear it squeak sometimes when I shut the truck down, is that normal?

The chirp is normal.
If the belt has cracks along its length change it out soon. Cracks across the belt are ok. However, a little common sense is good here. I change mine about 6 months after the across the belt cracks appear.
Changing it out is cake.

I change mine every 100k. Goodyear gator grips don't chirp.
