Sending unit?

Just purchased a 94 dodge 2500 with the cummins 12 valve. One problem with the truck is that the fuel guage doesnt work it always reads empty with the fuel light on. I would think this is a sending unit problem? Anyone know about how much I should expect to shell out for the part? Cant wait to get this truck going as its my first diesel and I am already hooked.
Thanks
Evan

I know you can buy a whole reman fuel module from the dealer for about $140. check the plugs on the module first.

Do a search on the sending unit and you will find all the information you need, including part numbers and prices.

Good luck.

My fuel gauge has the same problem, i'll probably just end up getting the $40 sending unit to fix it.
