seat heaters
last winter drivers side bottom would get hot enough you had to shut it off.this winter the light above switch blinks when turned on.anyone have any experience with repair of these seats.any replies greatly appreciated .

seat heater fix
ok, I just fixed mine. The light blinks because one of the heating coils shorted out. Remove the seat by undoing the 4 bolts. Unplug the wires. Take it to an upholstery shop so he can remove the leather seat cover. You must unplug all of the leads to the heater coils. Using your continuity tester on each post of the plugs, find the bad coil with the short. I think most of them are in the rail panel next to the door, as that one gets "slid" off of every time you exit the truck. Start slicing the foam to follow the wires. You will find the "burnt" spot easily. Solder the wire back together and replace everything.
