Hi, the temps were in the single digits this morning, and I'd like to figure out how to make my seat heaters come on when my truck starts on the remote.

I talked to the guy who installed the remote starter, he said there's no way to hook it in with the remote, but if I were to put a conventional switch in, I could just leave the switch on.

Any thoughts on this?

read the manual for your alarm, it may have an extra output you can use. if not, just grab one of the unused 2nd accessory or 2nd ignition wires, put a fuse in line and run it to your switch for the seat heaters. then just leave the switch on and it will come on when you remote start......that is if its +12v at the switch....if not you may have to find the relay for it and tap in there.

Don't know about your remote but mine has a button to pop the trunk.
Since I don't have a trunk I wired it to honk the horn with a relay.
You could do the same by using what's called a latching relay. The relay stays closed when you push the button, a second push makes it open.
