Would like to get some form of seat covers for my bucket seats. How have others delt with the swivel arm? Does anyone make a correct fitting cover with accomodation for the arm attachment? Looking for ideas.

in the 92, it had a custom tight fitting seat cover on it that the PO had done at an upholstery shop, it was just a striped seat cover and it was Hog-ringed on, headrests too.

I pulled the hog rings out and undid the cover, and underneath i found a mint condition factory super LE seat....lol

maybe take it to an upholstery shop and see if they can whip you on some neoprene covers or something?

I can't stand the loose fitting ones like you buy at Pepboys...

Seatcoversunlimited can make you pretty much any full custom fit seat cover for like $170....I would tell them your truck is a 92 or 93 Ramcharger as 99% of them came with bucket seats, harder for them to get confused.

You can use any Highback covers, just remove the arm rests and reattach them. I got those black & red Dodge ones, from walmart a while back on my ole gasser.

www.marathonseatcovers.com still makes them for your truck. Waterproof and dogproof. Excellent fit and finish. They'll mail three fabric samples to your home. It's a small family run biz out of Montana. I've used them for three trucks now. They offer front and seatback pockets for a nominal charge too. Indispensable after you've had them.

Took a look. Looks like a good option. A bit more money but not really given they are a proper fit for the application.

Ok, I will look and see if the arm rests come out and reattach without any issue. I take it you are removing the arm rest, slipping over the cover and marking where to make a hole for the pivot, correct? Every time I have cut into fabric for something custom it has unraveled quickly at that point. Am I missing something?

Yes, you have the idea, I used an impact driver to remove the screws (the kind you hit with a hammer). If memory serves, there are 3 screws for each, as well the mount is like a plate attached with the screws to the side of the seat that kinda naturally helps with the unraveling. You can also use a hot soldering iron to "cauterize" the holes or even use glue to help seal the edges of the holes to help prevent unraveling, if you feel the need. I had no issues with the cheapo covers tearing or anything, they were in there for 2 years until I sold the truck.

Seat covers unlimited much better option. Had appointment with Marathon well ahead of time and they had forgotten to make my order. Tried to do a rush order and the finished product did not fit. Their customer service agent was very rude and condescending claiming I did not know what I was talking about (been driving these rigs over 20yrs and know the standard seats). Unlimited very helpful and had standard LE seat pattern ready to go. Avoid Marathon IMO.

In the past when I have cut fabric I apply super glue to the edges of the fabric after I cut it. Really keeps it from coming apart.
