seat belt light

I don't wear my seatbelt, and was wondering if there was a way to get the seat belt light to go off.

Yes there is. I hated that the seat bell light wouldn't dim with the rest of the cluster, so..... There are two wires in the seat belt receptacle, and if you short them together the light will always be off.

This is the best mod ever next to the power windows working with the key in the back position.

But where the heck are the wires for that seat belt thing!? Mine buzzes like crazy when you fire it up and the light will FINALLY go off after about 20 ear ringing seconds GRR Most of the 93-back trucks had the wire running up to the seatbelt itself but I couldn't find it on the seatbelt on my '94 but maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough

Mine had two wires in the seat belt receptacle. If I remember correctly there was a harness that met with the seat belt catcher thingy. I can't really explain better than that, but the harness just traveled along with the receptacle strap. Sorry.

To get th ebuzzer to stop, replace the buzzer (it is supposed to stop after 15 seconds or so), or disconnect the wires on the seatbelt reel. You'll have to pull the rear panel and it's right there. This is what I did when I put 99 seats in my 96 as there was no provision for it with the new seats.
The poor man's alternative is to tie the seatbelt in a pulled out position because the buzzer stops after the seat belt has been pulled out 4-5 inches, at least it did on my 96.
