Going from stock to Scotty, you probably won't notice to much of a difference. If you've got some extra ponies under the hood, you'll notice a BIG difference in EGT's.

I won't even suggest purchasing a Scotty II unless you are doing one or more of the following:

1] You are stock but tow heavy. 100F reduction

2] You are mildly modified and tow lots. 100-150F reduction

3] You are heavily modified and have addressed your turbo if its beyond its efficiency limits. 150-200F reduction and even higher depending on the trucks BOMBs.

I do not suggest the Scotty II for stock non towing trucks.
I think the cost outweighs the benefit and a BHAF or even a replacement panel filter would suffice until you are in the 350HP or higher range or the points listed above.

I'm putting the Scotty on my truck because of what I have planned for my truck later on down the road.

I can't comment on whether you'll benefit strongly or not- but one thing to be consiered is turbo noise or music. Depending on personal taste you'll hear more of one of the both with a Scotty 2 than with the stok air filter. IMHO the BHAF was somewhere inbetween stock and Scotty2 for sound levels.
I do like mine very much and wouldn't want to be caught without it.

However a TAG will greatly reduce that turbo noise! I would venture to say my TAG reduced turbo noise by MORE than 50%.
