Flipped some valve brides around, and noticed this.

Hopefully it's not a taste of whats yet to arrive.

If my rockers look like that, I don't want to see the bottom end!

What lube oil are you running? How long between changes? Looks like scoring and spaling.....bad. If you got a micrometer check the inside ID's at 9-3 clock and compare 12-6 clock. That ain't right, might be a manufacture machining defect. I have been told that bridges shouldn't be swapped around.

Been running Valvoline Prem. Blue the last 10,000 miles, Royal Purple for 25000, then Amsoil for the first 30k. Idle probably 4-6 hrs a week.

If just idling caused that, then everyone would have issues since all of our trucks idle for some amount of time. Idling too much is only harmful if the engine isn't up to operating temp...and that causes piston/ring/cylinder damage not rocker damage.

I think its kind of nature of the beast. If the rockers work smoothly then there is nothing to worry about.

I'd be trying to get some of the high spots down with some scotchbrite abrasive before I ran it again.

No, I don't idle except in high idle mode for just that reason. It's not that uncommon. Idleing for prolonged peroids is a costly myth.
