OK I know over-spooling is is over-speeding the turbo. how do you know at what point you are over-spooling? And is there any warning before the turbo comes apart? My truck is running a WH1C and i do not yet have a boost gauge or any gauges for that matter installed yet. today for ***** and giggles I removed the fuel plate to see how the truck wud act. it did the opposite of what i thot it wud. I now have less smoke than before. I believe this is due to the higher boost pressure....i can audibly hear a higher pitch out of the turbo. i thot it wud emit ALOT more smoke but it doesnt its actually less. it builds RPM a tad bit faster now as well i have a 160 pump and 90 horse injectors. what sustained boost is a WH1C good for?.....before it self destructs.

Depending on where you put the AFC housing back on the pump, you may be limiting fuel with AFC regardless of the plate. Also if you have the stock setting on the wastegate still active, then you won't have much problem getting overboost as it will hold down the max boost.
