School me on doing a burnout with a diesel

I don't know how well the 24v's do; I know the Common Rail trucks have "Torque Management" that hinders their burnout ability.
Hold the brake, hit the accelerator until the wheels start spinning, then mat it . You shouldn't have much of a problem with turbo lag with your truck.

Its much like a gasser. Brakes+Accel, ease out on brake until spinage and stab brake to keep it going. Its alot easier with a manual tho. Just dont be like this:

i actually tried it on my 6 spd, and i spun my clutch so bad that i had clutch smoke rolling out from under both sides of my truck, i think I NEED schooling on how to do a burnout with a manual diesel.....
because of that night, i am now very close to buying a new clutch as i dont feel safe pulling a trailer with it

Once I start making enough power on my dually to actually be able to do a burnout, I'll have to think long and hard about doing that... I just don't want to break something, and I recall reading an old thread on here about things you regretted, and one guy mentioned his truck that felt like it has 15k miles on it after just one sled pull felt like a 100k mile truck and he swore he would never do it again, so I think my sliding around on wet roads will be good enough for me .

I remember seeing a video of Blackdiesel on here with his 02 doing a saweeet burnout. Mind you, I think the guy has something like 450-500hp and 900lb/ft tq .
When in doubt, add more power
